The story of Genesis is faith. It is faith to believe God and follow him wherever he leads. it is the faith to trust him even when you cannot see the end of his work. It is believing he will accomplish his purpose even if we are not there to see it. Joseph had this kind of faith, and he looked forward to the fulfillment of God's plan.
